A few months ago, I took on the arduous task of replacing the old dilapidated laminate flooring in my home. Overall, things are going very well, but the biggest problem is the table saw getting on and off the car to the front porch. The Ryobi One+ 18V cordless floor saw is designed to eliminate this headache.
Ryobi’s cordless floor saws allow you to easily cut LVT and LVP (luxury vinyl tiles/planks), laminate and hardwood floors.
Saws make crossing, miter and tear cutting on the floor a breeze. Its ability to make all kinds of cuts makes it very valuable, especially when you are working in places such as door frames where you may need to make multiple cuts.
The 5 1/2 thin-cut blade cuts to a depth of 3/4 inch at a speed of 6500 RPM, so there is no problem even with hardwood.
When tearing apart a plank or vinyl plank, the saw will lock in place, allowing you to use it as an upside-down table saw. You only need to lean the wood against the enclosed fence.
It takes a while to get used to tearing the fence, it’s a bit neurotic. First, loosen the thumbscrew and slide it to the measurement value you are looking for. This screw has multiple holes, and you may have to switch to another hole to set the fence where you need it. From there, two sets of measurements can help you ensure that the fence is square. After setting, tighten the screws and you can start.
The saw has a 15-inch crosscut capacity and can reach 10 inches when performing a 45° bevel cut. To make these cuts, the saw acts more like a miter saw, able to lock an angle and slide while your material stays in place.
To set the miter angle, you need to loosen the thumbscrew on the miter fence and align it with the angle indicator marked on the table. Its rotation mode is very similar to that of a cutting saw miter gauge. After tightening the screws, you can start cutting.
It uses a single Ryobi 18V battery for power, which means you don’t need to find an outlet to get to work and distinguish it from other floor saw options. Ryobi said that when using a 9.0Ah battery, it can cut up to 240 feet using a 9Ah battery. For most jobs, you can recycle two batteries to allow 1 or 2 workers to work continuously.
Step out of the gate, the size and weight of the saw make it ideal for bringing to your site. Even moving it in the room does not require much effort. The bare metal weighs about 15 pounds, and the handle position is just right.
Ryobi cordless floor saws also make your cleaning work easier. It has its own dust bag to help you get started. We recommend that you connect a vacuum cleaner to suck more dust and debris and make your work space cleaner.
Whether the bottom of the saw has scratched feet. Although we are aware that we are not at risk of leaving marks on the newly installed floor, some of them have developed a bad habit of falling. Pay close attention to them and consider adding a drop of glue to hold them in place when needed.
Ryobi PGC21 is now available at Home Depot for $169. As of now, it can only be used as a bare tool. Ryobi provides a 3-year warranty for the tool.

I always have to put my compound miter saw outside for cutting, and now I can do it in the work space because I already have a cordless vacuum cleaner.
