Your customers need clean tops, and this is the busiest week of the year. Suddenly, a large customer placed an order for the tent at the last minute. Your only top is in the dirty heap. Providing your customers with a clean enough cleaning service will cost you a high price.
Your employees don’t like doing this work and are already tired, which means cleaning takes longer. You may be required to pay for overtime. With all of this, you may not get the cleaning quality you need.
You have a problem: you can’t clean your tent fast enough to avoid the extra cost of owning a bunch of dirty tents during peak hours.
Having the right tent cleaning tools will help tent cleaning, but not all companies will use the same tools. As the company grows, the need for faster cleaning will require different tools for the tent cleaning department.
Companies with smaller inventories are likely to use rags or mops and some cleaning agents to clean shirts. Usually, an investment of $20 can improve this operation. First, use the correct cleaning chemicals. Remember that every part of the country has different types of pollutants, leaves, mold or dirt, which will eventually enter your tent. The dirty roof in San Francisco is different from the dirty roof in New York. Using cleaning chemicals that can do most of the work for you will speed up your operations. Take the time to research the most effective cleaning chemicals to effectively clean the stains that are characteristic of the top of the tent. In addition, use microfiber wipes and heavy-duty mops for fewer scrubbing times. Microfiber wipes cost a few dollars more, but can reduce cleaning work by up to 30%. Before your employees need to stop to clean the mop, a larger mop head can hold more dirt and clean more surface area. If possible, you can reduce the amount of work required to clean the countertop by cleaning it on a surface that is as smooth as the kitchen countertop.
As the company grows, the need to wash tops faster has become a top priority. Using an electric polisher to replace the manual labor of using a rag or a mop may cost 400 to 1,400 US dollars. The dual-action hand-held polisher for polishing cars is an excellent addition to any cleaning operation. The cleaning speed of the hand-held polishing machine is twice that of cleaning with a rag and provides excellent results. In addition, using a handheld polisher with a tent-friendly solvent is the best way to remove tape and sticker residue. Use larger 13 to 20 inches. Floor polish is an excellent way to clean the top of a large tent. Whether you are using a hand-held polishing machine or a floor polishing machine, you can flexibly choose from various types of cleaning pads to effectively clean the unique number and types of dirt on your countertop.
As the company continues to grow, the time spent on cleaning is also increasing. Companies that spend more than 8 hours a week cleaning tents during peak hours may consider using small and medium-sized tent washing machines. Companies can eliminate the manual labor of using rags, mops, or polishing machines, and find it easier to meet cleaning needs. When using a tent washing machine that is washed and rinsed in warm water, a wider range of cleaning chemicals are available, which will ensure a cleaner tent. However, a key consideration in developing this option is the increase in capital expenditure required.
Some companies must clean 25,000 to 50,000 square feet of vinyl every day. The largest companies need the most efficient and fastest cleaning systems. These companies will use the largest and most advanced machines available. Usually, this means using highly specialized flat-panel washing machines and complex drum-type washing machines in the same department.
When it comes to cleaning tents, every company has different needs. Having the right tent cleaning tools for your operation will help control the cost of cleaning the tent when you are busy.
Cleaning the various stains on the top of the tent can be challenging. This is a quick reference guide for the most common stains on the top of a tent.
Mold. The most effective mold cleaners are chlorine-based products such as sodium hypochlorite (a bleach) or calcium hypochlorite (a stronger bleach). However, if used improperly, it may cause long-term damage to the tent. For example, chlorine residue can rot the stitches and webbing on the top of the tent. Some vinyls are negatively affected by long-term exposure to chlorine residues left by cleaning. Therefore, shortly after using the chlorine product, flood the vinyl and webbing with a bleach neutralizer.
The top is grayed out. Pollution stains vary from region to region. Sometimes a mild acid like white vinegar works well. Other types of stains require the use of solvents that are safe for vinyl.
Leaves and crepe paper stains. When leaves or crepe paper are rolled up in a damp tent, the resulting discoloration is difficult to remove. Because there are many different types of leaves, the cleaning method may require multiple steps. The simplest solution may be to expose the stain to the sun’s ultraviolet rays or ultraviolet light. If UV rays do not work, try using mild acid cleaners, such as toilet cleaners purchased at your local specialty store. Next, soak the cloth in the detergent and let the cloth sit on the stain so that the detergent does not dry out on the stain. For the most stubborn stains, discoloration may be the only option. Covering stains with vinyl ink products is a long-term solution to conceal stains.
Water stains. The easiest way to avoid water stains on clear vinyl is to dry the water stains before they dry on the top. Use a microfiber towel or suede to dry the top. Otherwise, try to use mild acid such as white vinegar. Another good solution is to check if your local auto parts supply store has spray cleaners for cleaning car water stains.
Rust and black aluminum stains. The cheapest solution may be to use weak acids. Otherwise, use solvents formulated for tent safety tasks.
Tar, tape and sap. Using solvents to remove these stains is the best solution. Make sure that the solvent you use will not damage the webbing, stitching or vinyl of the tent, and make sure that no solvent remains on the top after cleaning. Always use a small black rag soaked in solvent for safety testing. Actively wipe the top of the vinyl with a damp cloth. If you see white vinyl on the rag, do not use solvents. In addition, find a 1 square inch vinyl sample and soak it in the solvent for 20 to 30 minutes. If the vinyl becomes brittle or discolored, do not use solvents.
